Modular. Affordable.
Sustainable.
UC Irvine and Orange Coast College are building the future
About Us
teamMADE (Modular Affordable Dwellings for the Environment) is a partnership between UC Irvine and Orange Coast College. Our team of students, faculty, and staff is designing, engineering, and building an innovative, sustainable house for our community that will compete in the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon in October 2023.
After the competition our house will go to Homeless Intervention Services-OC in Placentia, CA providing a healing home to four young men overcoming trauma and homelessness.
To become part of the transport to Placentia, please donate here.

Our Vision
Scale the prototype. Build modular. Grow the community.
Our vision is to serve our local communities through affordable and sustainable housing solutions that will build equity and provide much needed housing stock.
We are passionate about bringing practical, innovative solutions as a showcase to everyone, especially to those working and interested in the future of house construction, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
teamMADE is building an ADU to compete in the OC Sustainability Decathlon in October 2023.
The future is in your hands. Build it with us!
